Okay,

this problem is probably one of the most annoying problems i have ever encountered. whenever I play Arma 3, ill start it up and ill play on Ultra preset for about 25 mins with 45-55 FPS range, but after the first 25 mins it will start to drop... it will keep lowering over like 10 mins to 29 - 20 FPS, I don't know what the problem is. This is all the while I'm on a server, not campaign. This only happens with Arma 3, i got the game like 3 days ago.

I also get errors sometimes when closing arma, heres what it says

Arma 3 has exited in an unusual manner
Launcher has detected that arma 3 was closed unusually. if you encounter an error that you cannot solve by yourself, please report it to our Feedback Tracker, or contact our support team.

Exit code: 0xC0000005 - STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION

please help meh

Here are my specs - custom built

GTX 960 ssc 2gb
i5 4460 intel (not a aftermarket cooler)
PSU - Nvidia 500w
8gbs of crucial ram
3 case fans

P.S yes all my drivers are up to date!

Arma 3 is a very CPU intensive game. What you described is very normal for Arma 3. I have a high end setup and still experience this. The issue is with the servers, not on your end. The same issues happened in Arma 2 and DayZ that use the same or similar engine. Single-player usually has no issues, but on multiplayer, the server has to run and update a ton of scripts and actions. Which leads to pretty major FPS drops after 10 minutes or so of constant fighting, vehicle spawns/explosions, spawning in, and whatnot.

Suggestions:

If you have one, try installing Arma 3 on an SSD. It will improve the loading of textures and help the game feel smoother.

If you haven't already, try one of these guides. I used this one and it helped me make the game playable while still retaining Ultra graphics quality:

Lastly, you can try the performance client here:

It has to match the version of the server you're playing in though, so it can be a bit tricky. This is kind of a last resort type of thing, since the game is constantly updating and this will most likely not match the current version servers are running.

My setup:

i7 6600K CPU
GTX 1080 GPU
32 GB G.Skill TridentZ 3400mhz RAM
Samsung EVO 850 SSD

After doing research on your crash code. It seems like "Verify integrity of game cache" should fix it. To do this just:

1. Go to steam library
2. Right click Arma 3 and go to properties
3. Click the Local Files tab
4. Click "Verify integrity of game cache" and let it do its thing until it's finished.

If the issue still persists, you should go down this list until you've exhausted your options:

0xC0000005 - ACCESS_VIOLATION
This error is very generic. It may be caused by many issues, such as a hardware malfunction, a virus in the computer, but also an error in the game itself. Possible solutions:

-Try joining another server, then rejoin the previous one.
-Update the graphics card drivers to a newer version.
-Rollback the graphics card drivers to an older version.
-Check the temperature of your GPUs and CPUs.
-Verify the integrity of the game cache using Steam.
-Re-install DirectX. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/179113
-Uninstall the Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable package (x86 version), restart your computer and install the package again (do not use the Repair function). https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40784
-Run a Windows System File Check tool to repair corrupted system files. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/929833
