Hello !

My name is Christian "financial" Barkley and I am the Head Admin for America's Army CEVO's division. As some of you may be aware, over the past few months, America's Army 2 has been going through an important revival campaign to bring back some royalty to this game, this revival campaign has been spearheaded by AACommand.com America's army Staff. Since the revival campaign has been a success so far, Cyber Evolution (CEVO.com) has decided to step up and bring back America's Army into its supported list of games.

CEVO (www.cevo.com) has been an important pillar over the years for the competitive genre and it is the primary competition league in North America's for Electronic Sports. For this particular reason, we'd like to welcome your team to play in our league. We have the best Anti-cheat software in North America known as CMN3 so rest assured we provide fair play for teams.

Our America's Army staff is going through the final stages of preparations for the upcoming America's Army events, this said we wanted to let you know a little bit about what is coming up.

First of all, we will have a free to play "Placement tournament". A placement tourney is a double elimination bracket tournament - which mean you have to lose 2 matches to be eliminated. This placement tournament is to know what level of play can your team play in - we judge this via the results that your team brings in. During this tournament, each team play 10 rounds on one of the selected maps available ( You can vote for the maps on this topic http://www.cevo.com/?page=forum&func=viewthread&id=10681) Sign ups for this tournament will open up on around the 4th-5th of August.

During the tournament, we will be opening up sign ups for our upcoming Season of America's Army. The Season will last 10 weeks and teams will be split into two different level of play.

We will have a Professional division for heavily competitive teams with an entry fee of 40 $ per team (This entry fee will produce pretty good looking prizes) and we will have a free to play amateur division for teams who want to play competitively at a slightly less serious level of play ( winners and runner up can be promoted to the Professional level).

We'd like to invite your team, to play with us in our upcoming events and I shall keep you all updated on this in the next few days, however if you have ANY questions please email me at cbarkley@cevo.com - I'll be replying to you in less then 10 hours guaranteed. Currently the America's Army section on CEVO.com is locked - so you cannot sign yourself or your team for any America's Army related event yet - however I will invite you all to register yourself an account so at least this step will be done.
www.cevo.com is the website - again if any questions, insecurities or simply anything really - please email me at cbarkley@cevo.com.

Step 1

First of all, as a player, you will need to register an account on CEVO.com, to do the following, click on this link : http://www.cevo.com/index.php?page=register

Step 2

You will need to log in and click on the my account tab, then click on the option that says " my account "right in front of you, it will bring a drop down menu in which you should find the following : Unique Game IDs. Click on this option and it will open up a list of games in which you can enter your unique ID's, scroll down until you find America's Army, in there you will type in your last 8 digits of the Punkbuster GUID (use this to find your PB GUID --> http://history.anticheatinc.com/aa2/index.php). Click "Update ID's" and you are done with this step.

Step 3

If you are not the team captain/founder, skip this step.

If you are a team captain/founder, you will need to register your team, to this, log onto your account, in front of you, you should see "teams" which bring down a drop down menu, in there you should see "create a team", click on this, select America's Army and fill up the proper information needed. Once that is done, you will go back to the "teams" drop down menu, click on view my teams, then click on "manage". Select the event ( in this case, Revival Tourney), setup your team password, and click on "register" for event.

PS: Team captains/founders, make sure to download the latest CVARS in the files section

Step 4

To join a roster, click on the teams tab which will bring down a menu, click on "join a roster", select the event/game and find the team you wanna join. Put in the required password and you are good to go. Make sure you download CMN3 in the files section. Good Luck !
