ok like i have told others that decided the same thing you have. (first and for most me and my soldiers appreciate all support whether verbal or physical so by all mean do not send anything if you do not have the money your life and family come first) However you can not send things like Porn, Drugs, Guns, Ammo, hazmat material (IE anything in an airsol can or that could be con screwed as a chemical), Alcohol, etc etc. JUST remember the postal office will tell you ahead of time when you ask what is legal to send abroad as they get these questions all the time. If you have any doubt that something your sending to a soldier might be wrong call your local postal office and ask them, they will be more than happy to set you straight.

Best things to send a soldier: jerky, candy, cookies, junkfood so on so forth, tuna, canned food such as canned fruits, even socks are good, ramen noodles, cheap easy heated foods, ravioli, .....you get the point.

I just got back to iraq from RnR. finishing deployment here in about 6 months. other than that.... same old groundhog day - everyday..
